Look at all the laws of Europe. In all countries a better updated nature education is needed, why so many wild fires, basis of understanding life. Better informed industry leaders can raise profits with green technology. High energy demand by outdated energy production facilities + low conservation efforts combined with low nature education levels lead to environmental disasters. Online classes can raise low nature education knowledge resulting better managing of high pollution, high water waste, low water quality, small-scale understanding of natural connections, science based nature education is needed + how to have a better life!

Endangered Species: Animals

Definition Endangered species:
Species whose numbers are so small
that this species faces extinction
Sorry to report that so many species
are on the endangered species list!

endangered animal list BSB: grey wolfs are endangered because of habitat destruction, urban sprawl, greed, missing education. Due to ecological, political, and socio-economic reasons, it is highly unlikely that we will see wolves or North America's largest cat the mountain lion in Texas again anytime soon, perhaps ever
Around 1940 it was still possible to see gray wolf,
red wolf, and jaguar in Texas.
Within a couple of decades, all of these animals
were killed by humans.

Topic: Human fear and greed
endangered animal list BSB: Black bears are endangered because of habitat destruction, urban sprawl, greed, missing education. Due to ecological, political, and socio-economic reasons, it is highly unlikely that we will see the American black bear, Ursus americanus, again. Black bears have tried for quite a while to find home in Texas again, but every time a bear sighting is published, some hunters feel threatened and kill the bear. This happened the last time just a few months ago

The Condor is an endangered bird
because its food chain is out of balance.

Topic: Habitat Destruction
Topic: Changing climate
Topic: Man-made chemicals
Many factors can bring an animal species at risk of becoming extinct because it is either few in numbers, or threatened by changing environmental or predation parameters.
About 40 % of all living creatures on Earth are endangered species. The percentage is rising because of Earth's changing climate.
Some nations have laws to protect life on Earth, but only a few enforce these laws.
Nature conservation would be easy: controlled hunting, restricting land development, enforcing burn bans, enforcing the correct use of chemicals.
Even species on the endangered species lists that have legal protection are not really protected. A lot of life becomes extinct, without gaining public notice.
Part of Bear Springs Blossom endangered species list: Conservation education animals: sea otter is one animals that is on the endangered species list because to many were killed by hunters for their fur
Sea otter - Enhydra lutris
Heaviest members of the weasel family
Densest fur in the animal kingdom
Eats sea urchins, molluscs, crustaceans, fish
Marine mammal population recovers
after a strict hunting ban
bison head, once million of buffalo also called cibolo lived in the US prairies, today wild buffaloes are an endangered species

The bison is rarely seen

Above we have picked only a few of the thousands of endangered species!
You would need hours to scroll to the complete list.
Why are so many animals endangered?

1) Habitat Destruction
1a) Deforestation
2) Introduction of Exotic Species
3) Over-exploitation
4) Man-made chemicals
5) Changing climate
6) Air pollution
7) Water pollution
8) Water waste
The more you know the more we all together can do!
Less food waste, less usage of man-made chemicals and plastic products, emissions reductions and increases in the use of energy-efficient technologies are strongly needed.

We are an international non-profit organization.
We all work without a salary. Every cent of your membership dues works to fight climate change!
For many years we have done research on the problem population growth and food supply.
If our calculations for our future are correct we will experience ~4 billion humans facing food shortages by 2050 due to urban sprawl and climate change.

Ask other organizations how much of your donation they spend on administrative costs.

Together we can make a difference! Join us! Our members from the Americas, Asia, Canada, and Europe support BSB!
The more members, the more we can accomplish!

When we do a chart analysis with global temperatures combined with drought zones and ocean levels, we find a 86% probability that by 2050 the minimum temperatures in the tropics and sub-tropics will be higher than our charts show as the maximum temperature today!
Crop-growing would be dire, potatoes and vegetable growing difficult, maize and rice don't tolerate high and dry conditions, clean drinking water and water for crops will be very scarce.

Melting polar ice is already changing the ocean salinity and with it Earth's oceans currents. Fishermen cannot find big swarms of fish anymore.

That is one of the reasons, we care about animals that are endangered!
The bigger the biodiversity is, the better are the chances for survival!
Andrea Hartley's thoughts really come to the point: "When we interrupt the earth’s natural patterns we interrupt Earth's whole ecosystem. All living things are inter-dependent.
All life relies on each other to grow and thrive in their special habitat. If that natural habitat is degraded, all life is impacted, beyond what people have been able to see on the surface."
Humans gain knowledge from studying animals: ideas for new medicines, ideas for better agricultural planting, ecological and commercial patents are based on the knowledge humans have gained from studying animals. Humans depend on intact ecosystems such as coastal estuaries, prairie grasslands, and ancient forests to purify their air, clean their water and supply them with food. When species become endangered, it is an indicator of the declining health of these vital ecosystems. Loosing one animal species can trigger the loss of up to 30 other life forms!
So, please be active, be responsible!
Do, what all other members of BSB do:
