BSB is an international charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to conservation education, providing educational web-pages, to see the big picture, to have a better life. Biology teaches that bears once were part of the food chain, balancing Nature. Biology provides the understanding how life works on Earth, and what is good for us humans, and what can harm us and our children and grandchildren Signature of Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation, international charitable nonprofit organization with the motto Keep Earth beautiful, offering conservation education worldwide. BSB stands for worldwide education, for providing people with updated knowledge, facts. Learn to understand Earth's environment: affordable education is offered by our education portal, where we explain: What is education, and why is an updated education very important for a safe life. We explain nature, give nature quotes, offer educational advice on the question: What is nature, how to keep beautiful nature, and why the balance of nature is so important! International nature education is the task of BSB to provide environmental education. Conservation trough education is important. Online distance learning Global issue Philosophy: Archimedes and the laws of nature have helped humans to have their personal freedoms. Population growth without a moral law, without ethics will bring us famine, lawlessness and destruction. Earth's spheres unbalanced. Millions of years earth balanced a natural environment. Conservation of all water on Earth = human protection, conservation of all soil on Earth = human protection through affordable conservation education online to keep nature beautiful. BSB-research + how to keep Nature beautiful + how to secure our future + how to have a better life! Archimedes knew about the atmosphere, the buoyancy. The blue planet once had good air we need to survive - air is life, earth's sky looks blue because of air pollution, earth has a water cycle transported by air, wind - air is used again and again, but air can be contaminated not useful for humans. News on Ocean conservation + Water conservation is needed for protection of all life, flora + fauna on Earth. News on environmental changes in oceans worldwide hint to the coming changes for humans. Archimedes - the Greek genius

Archimedes - when he was killed

Archimedes - 287 BC - 212 BC
born in Syracuse Sicily - Magna Graecia
studied in Alexandria, Egypt

Archimedes of Syracuse was a Greek mathematician,
physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer,
one of the leading scientists in classical antiquity.
He was born in Syracuse and lived there
A Roman soldier killed him on a street of Syracuse
Syracuse in Sicily, today southern island belonging to Italy, Virginia. Philosophy education online: Age of enlightenment ideas helped to create the constitution of the United States of America

Imagine ~2300 years ago:
Archimedes has written about the heliocentric theory of the solar system,
he published contemporary ideas about the size of the Earth
and the distance between various celestial bodies...

Famous outcry of Archimedes
when he found a solution
to a scientific problem

Archimedes spells out the law of equilibrium of fluids, and proves that water will adopt a spherical form around a center of gravity
Archimedes' screw:
A hollow pipe and, a screw like cylindrical shaft inside
The work to turn the screw can be done by man, animal or a windmill, water mill, or as in most well-pumps by electricity.
As the shaft turns, the bottom end scoops up a volume of water. This water will slide up in the spiral tube, until it finally pours out from the top of the tube and feeds higher level canal or pipe

education philosophy online: Archimedes principle of buoyancy is given in the work, stated as follows: Any body wholly or partially immersed in a fluid experiences an upthrust equal to, but opposite in sense to, the weight of the fluid displaced
Archimedes' principle of buoyancy made him famous and a favorite of his king.
The king wanted to know, if his golden crown was really pure gold. He asked Archimedes to prove or disprove without damaging the crown.
Archimedes could prove that any body wholly or partially immersed in a fluid experiences an upthrust equal to, but opposite in sense to, the weight of the fluid displaced.
He weighed the crown, and asked to give him a piece of gold with the same weight. He put both items on a scale, above the water the scale showed equal weight, but when submerged, the scale showed that the piece of gold was heavier.
Archimedes conclusion: The crown was not made of pure gold ...

The Sand Reckoner is a work by Archimedes in which he set out to determine an upper bound for the number of grains of sand that fit into the universe. In order to do this, he had to estimate the size of the universe according to the contemporary model, and invent a way to talk about extremely large numbers. The work, also known in Latin as Archimedis Syracusani Arenarius & Dimensio Circuli, which is about 8 pages long in translation, is addressed to the Syracusan king Gelo II (son of Hiero II), and is probably the most accessible work of Archimedes; in some sense, it is the first research-expository paper
The pulley system was invented by Archimedes
A combined pulley makes life easier as the effort needed to lift the load is less than half the weight of the load.
The main advantage of this pulley is that the amount of effort is less than half of the load.
The main disadvantage is it travels a very long distance and will take a much longer time
Archimedes' principle of buoyancy is given in the work, stated as follows: Any body wholly or partially immersed in a fluid experiences an upthrust equal to, but opposite in sense to, the weight of the fluid displaced
A movable pulley is a pulley that moves with the load. The movable pulley allows the effort to be less than the weight of the load.
The movable pulley also acts as a second class lever. The load is between the fulcrum and the effort.
The main disadvantage of a movable pulley is that you have to pull or push the pulley up or down.
The main advantage of a movable pulley is that you use less effort to pull the load.

Archimedes' principle of buoyancy is given in the work, stated as follows: Any body wholly or partially immersed in a fluid experiences an upthrust equal to, but opposite in sense to, the weight of the fluid displaced
A fixed pulley is the only pulley that when used individually, uses more effort than the load to lift the load from the ground.
The fixed pulley when attached to an unmovable object e.g. a ceiling or wall, acts as a first class lever with the fulcrum being located at the axis but with a minor change, the bar becomes a rope.
The advantage of the fixed pulley is that you do not have to pull or push the pulley up and down. The disadvantage is that you have to apply more effort than the load.

Think about:
A better easier life made possible by the thoughts and work of Archimedes who has lived 2300 years ago!

Archimedes had proven that the volume and surface area of the sphere are two thirds that of the cylinder including its bases. Archimedes' principle of buoyancy is given in the work, stated as follows: Any body wholly or partially immersed in a fluid experiences an upthrust equal to, but opposite in sense to, the weight of the fluid displaced
Archimedes had asked to put a sphere and a cylinder on his grave
In his opinion it was one of his
brightest moments when he could prove
that the volume and surface area
of the sphere are two thirds that
of the cylinder including its bases

Mexico environmental problems include not enough affordable nature conservation education to expand food production - Spain offers to little conservation education courses - - - Indonesia cuts down a lot of trees. Missing nature conservation education leads to deforestation, water contamination, erosion problems because of deforestation, endangering marine life and humans - - China has a growing population, more energy, more food, nature conservation education is very low on the to do list - - - German schools offer conservation education, but a lot of people are too busy to learn new things
