Amount of species on Earth|
What is Biodiversity?
Biodiversity is the short word for biological diversity
Biodiversity includes all organisms, species, and populations
Biodiversity includes all the genetic variations
Biodiversity includes all ecosystems, habitat variations
Biodiversity includes all interrelation of genes, species
Biodiversity includes all interactions of life and Earth environment
Imagine your life |
Only 1 tree species,
only 1 type of grain,
only 1 type of fish,
only 1 type of animal,
only 1 type of medicine,
Do you think humans would have been fruitful and populated Earth?
How would we make clothing, how would people in different climates eat?
One kind of shelter and warmth—timber, only one kind of wool or cotton
Do you agree that nobody on Earth would want that?|
Do you agree that your spouse looks different?
Do you agree that children on Earth look different too?
Do you agree that our food should contain different plants?
If you agree you know what biodiversity means!
If you agree you understand why BSB wants to protect biodiversity!
Want to know more why Conservation Education is so important?
Many animals and plants around Earth are facing extinction!|
The need to protect animal and plant species has never been greater. Every loss of wildlife and native plants threatens basic human economic security.
Biodiversity grants humans a balanced life, affordable food, healthy drinking water, and it helps many not to fall into poverty.
The loss of gene pools, the loss of natural chemicals in plants, that could cure human illnesses gets higher and higher. BSB offers you the knowledge, gives you expertise to address the plight of threatened wild animals and plants around Earth.
Nature's biodiversity has supported life on Earth, the growth and prosperity of human societies!
Nature's benefits allowed a growing population,|
we watched the birds and learned to fly,
we watched the growth of plants and learned how to use the ones which were fitting our needs,
we watched the dolphins and learned to swim...
We used the biological diversity on Earth to have a better life,
to manufacture better shelter, better medicine, better clothes...
Humans consume more than 7,000 species of plants and animals, very few of which have been domesticated through agriculture. For many people, wild sources of food are essential for nutritional health. To achieve food security for a burgeoning global population, what grows in the wild is just as important as what grows on farms!
Economies all over Earth are troubled. The financial and economic crises clearly show that we need to move towards more sustainable forms of economic development, sustainable living.|
The ecological consequences of the loss of species, populations, or groups of species which perform a common function are grim, and can eradicated big parts of Earth's population.
Can you see a trend?
So, when you hear the next time, that the survival of this blind salamander, or this multicolored frog is not important, think about this web-page.
We live, we love, we exist, because we grew up with at lot of biodiversity!
Do we really want to take that away from our children?
Do we really want to jeopardize our future and the future of the human race?
Biodiversity is the reason
humans can enjoy this view!
Life on Earth depends on biodiversity!
Members of Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation Group have a great mission:

Why Earth has Water?
Thirsty but NO water?
What is a watershed?
- Why does all life on Earth depend on water?
- Why are the oceans salty?
- Why Water is a very special 'juice'?
- Humans can live without food for weeks, but
- without water we will die after 3 days.
- Why do Humans use huge amounts of water to produce electricity?
- Is salt-water more heavy?
- Why can water dissolve so many substances?
- Does water expand when it gets warmer?
